Water Filtration

HydroCyclones

Hydrocyclone(s) are used to remove trace amounts of suspended solids from circulating liquids. This is usually contamination of water with suspended solids. These solids arise from several sources such as:

• Precipitation of salts
• Airborne plant material
• Products of corrosion of the system

• Airborne dusts
• Airborne insects
• Mechanical degradation of bits of the systems

These are removed to prevent:

• blockages of components of the system
• excessive consumption of water treatment chemicals

• harbouring of colonies of bacteria
