Industry - Metal Finishing - Air
Introduction
There are a wide range of metal finishing processes that produce dust. This can lead to a number of health concerns as the dust is inhaled by the operators, typically metal fever leading to severe breathing difficulties. It has long been recognised that precautions should be taken to reduce the levels of dust escaping from finishing operations such as grinding, linishing, polishing and similar processes. The Health and Safety Executive have set exposure limits, in some cases very low, to protect the operators from the effects of metal dusts.
Carter Environmental Engineers’ product range and many years of experience of working with both operators and suppliers of finishing equipment have been able to provide solutions to protect the operator and the working environment offering.
