Wet Collectors
Application -The Carter range of self induced wet scrubbing collectors, Nonflam, Economy and Autosludge units are ideal solutions for wet or steam-leaden, sticky or fibrous dusts. They are also suitable for coarse dusts generated by attrition and the removal of metal or potentially volatile dusts with the appropriate adaptations providing a safe solution which meets the DSEAR/ATEX product directive within the UK, Europe and the USA.
   
The Cyclovent is cyclonic venturi wet scrubber that offers equal performance to pulse jet filters It has the advantage that it will cope with wet or steam-leaden, sticky or fibrous dusts and with suitable adaptation will cope with some odour removal.
Operation – The Carter range of wet collector/scrubbers are based on either self induced or venturi scrubbing principles. Dust particles are forced to collide with the generated water (liquor) sprays removing the particulate from the air stream. The particles then settle in to a sludge, which can be removed from the base tank of the unit. With our current range of products we can meet a wide range of needs and capacities:

Light duty bench top applications – Dustand (Nonflam)
The unique feature of this design allows the operator to save valuable factory floor space while offering the ability to collect and remove dust from the air stream based on recommendations by the occupational hygienists and the Health and Safety Executive. The product is also offered as ‘turn-key’ package for machinery suppliers and manufacturers wishing to meet CE legislation.

General duty applications – Nonflam
Nonflam offers an ideal solution for small to medium duty applications for individual or small numbers of dust generating equipment, providing the operator with a flexible solution to removing dust and particulate from the process. The unique features of the Nonflam allowing access to the dirty and clean sides of the spray inducer make it an easy and reliable product to operate and maintain. The product is also offered as ‘turn-key’ package for machinery suppliers and manufacturers wishing to meet CE legislation.

Heavy duty applications – AutoSludge
Bespoke wet collector to suit heavy duty dust applications offering the mechanical removal of collected wastes with options to remove light surface collected wastes. The equipment is supplied with automatic drag link conveyor for the removal of settled dust slurries. Access doors offer operators the ability to access and maintain the interior of the equipment.

Venturi wet scrubbers
Offers an ideal solution to fine dust and particulate with high pressure providing an opportunity to achieve highly efficient collection and with additional adaptation the removal of some odours. The air is drawn through a series of baffles to generate the forces required to generate fine droplets and mists to impact with the dust and odour molecules removing then from the air stream.
